Kylie and I were talking about this because she too...

Stories from The SAND Room Searching And Noticing the Divine Thus Joseph stored up grain in great abundance like the sand of the sea, until he stopped measuring it, for it was beyond measure. Genesis 41:49 NASB When Not To When are we not to read the Word of God? Maybe a day ago, I might not have been able to answer that question. It seems every time is a good time to be reading our Bibles. But as I sat at the kitchen table this ...

Stories from The SAND Room Searching And Noticing the Divine Thus Joseph stored up grain in great abundance like the sand of the sea, until he stopped measuring it, for it was beyond measure. Genesis 41:49 NASB 90–10 We all want to hear God speak to us, don’t we? Why can’t He just tell us what He wants, loud and clear—so many things would be easier. But what I heard the other day from a friend at Bible study made me think about hearing fro...

The Journey is a collection of articles written about the journey through grief and beyond. Not all will walk this path, but hopefully everyone will find something in these pages that will bring hope where hope has been lost, healing where hearts have been broken, and help when it seems there is no help to be found.

Each article has been given a title as to the main theme, but that is not to say that is all that it contains. Each of these articles is to be thought of as entire chapter in a book. Perhaps not to be read in one sitting, since they can be quite long, but to be savored in quiet moments, at your own pace.

For when God comforts us, it is so that we, in turn, can be an encouragement to you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in suffering, you will also share God's comfort. 2 Corinthians 1:6b-7
